SCOTT'S SIX BIRDIES AFTER BOGEY AT FIRST

DRUMMOND LEADS THE SCOTS IN

JAMEGA TOUR EVENT ON ALGARVE

Anglo-Scot Scott Drummond, 39, winner of the PGA championship in 2004, is lying third at the end of the first round of the Jamega Tour competition at Castro Marim Golf Club on the eastern Algarve.
Drummond bogeyed the first hole but covered the remaining holes in six under par with birdies at the fourth, fifth, 11th, 12th, 17th and 18th for a six-under-par 67 (35-32).
Scott is one shot behind joint leaders, Englishmen Luke Joy (Broadstone) and Alex Christie (Tyrells Wood).
Elliot Saltman (Archerfield Links), Callum Macaulay (Tulliallan) and Ellon's Ross Cameron (Saltire Energy) are joint sixth on 69. 
Cameron had the lowest outward half of 32 with birdies a tthe third, fourth, fifth and seventh but he had a double bogey 6 at the 15th.
James Dick (Duddingston) and Lloyd Saltman (Archerfield Links) are T18 on 72 with Jonathan Mullaney T34 on 75.
Zack Saltman (Archerfield Links) and Ayrshire's Michael Stewart (Troon) are joint 38th on 76.
Zack had two double bogeys on his card.
