£2,000 VICTORY AT QUINTA DO VALE, MONCHIQUE

LLOYD BEATS BROTHER ELLIOT INTO

SECOND PLACE ON JAMEGA TOUR

Lloyd Saltman scored a rare victory as a professional today (Monday), winning the Jamega Tour's 36-hole event at Quinta do Vale, Monchique in north-west of Portugal's Algarve region.
The Archerfield man won £2,000 for a five-under-par aggregate of 139 (68-71).
He had five birdies and a double bogey at the par-3 ninth as he relegated his older brother Elliot, co-leader overnight, to second place.
Elliot had a double bogey 6 at the 15th on his way to a second-round 73 for 141.He finished joint second with England's Tom Whitehouse (69-72) and Portugal's Tiago Cruz (73-68). Each won £1,056.
Scott Drummond (70-76) finished joint ninth with Callum Macaulay (73-73) on 146. Both earned £112.
Ellon's Ross Cameron had to withdraw from the second round as he was not feeling well enough
to play another 18 holes.
