Lee Westwood is to reunite with long-time caddie Billy Foster after nearly a year apart.
The Englishman took the difficult decision to split with Foster last November after his bagman's recovery from a freak knee ligament injury took much longer than expected.Westwood opted to instead join forces with Zimbabwean Mike Kerr as he looked for stability heading into a season which he hoped might finally yield his first major.
In the event, despite top-10 finishes at the Masters and the Open, the 40-year-old has endured a largely frustrating season and has been unable to chalk up a victory.
Great partnership
Having slipped down to 23 in the world rankings, he has now decided to reprise his partnership with Foster in a bid to improve his fortunes in 2014."Everyone knows that Lee and Billy were a great partnership and it made sense now Billy is fully fit again that the partnership reforms," Westwood's agent Chubby Chandler told the Daily Telegraph.
"They laugh at the same jokes, are both very quick-witted, and Billy knows when something needs saying to Lee. And, of course, he's a great caddie."
It is understood the duo will resume their working relationship at Tiger Wood's World Challenge event in California next week.
