Kevin Stadler birdied four of his last six holes to card a 5-under 65 to take the clubhouse lead in the third round of The McGladrey Classic in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
Stadler already owns a pair of top-30 finishes this season, with a T30 at the Shriners Hospitals for Children Open and a T19 at the CIMB Classic.
Stadler, still looking for his first US PGA Tour win, birdied Nos. 13-15 and No. 17 and overcame two early bogeys on Nos. 2 and 3 at Sea Island GC.
Craig Stadler's son did not stay long in the pole position.
Chris Kirk shot a 678 for 200 and Briny Baird matched that with a 67 to share the lead at 10-under-par.
