James Byrne and David Law are sharing the lead after three rounds of the 72-hole Northern Open championship, sponsored by AVC Media, at Meldrum House Golf Club, Meldrum in Aberdeenshire.
Halfway leader Law, the title winner as an amateur two years ago, shot a two-under-par 68 this morning on another windless but overcast day. He is on 14 under par 196
Defending champion James Byrne was one of three players to score seven-under-par 63s on another windless morning. That put him on 196 alongside Law.
The two other 63s came from Scottish amateur champion Alexander Culverwell (Dunbar) and Graham Fox (Clydeway).
Fox, with a round to go, is now in third place, one shot off the pace.
