FOX PIPS MCBAIN FOR TOP PRIZE AT ABOYNE
Graham Fox shot a six-under-par 62 to win the VSA Tartan pro-am at Aboyne Golf Club today (Thursday).
He nipped past clubhouse leader Greig McBain (Gamola Golf) to snatch the first prize of £996 by a one-stroke margin from the Aberdonian.
McBain earend £797.
Greig Hutcheon, playing probably as near where he was brought up as he can get on the Tartan Tour, finished thflird with a 63 to earn £5989.
Hutcheon led the winning amateur team to victory with an 18-under-par net total of 118. The "Enquest" team comprised Jim Paterson (handicap 18), Ross Bremner (7) and Craig Donnelly (18).
