EX-RANGER IAN REDFORD, ONLY 53, FOUND DEAD IN AYRSHIRE WOODS

 Scottish sport has been shocked with the sudden  death of former Rangers and Dundee United star footballer Ian Redford who had also played in senior golf tournaments since his 50th birthday.
Police said Mr Redford, who was just 53 and had a glittering career with Dundee, Ipswich, St Johnstone and Raith Rovers, was found in a wooded area in Irvine, North Ayrshire, on Friday.
It is understood there are no suspicious circumstances.
