This week the Midland Golfers' Alliance got back to business after a weeks break for the Scottish Championships with a meeting at Downfield in Dundee. Their was a three way tie for the scratch prize Alistair Webster P, Edzell, Ross Bell Downfield, +2 and James White Lundin +3, all scoring level par scores of 70. Dennis Redford Murrayshall, 10 won the handicap prize returning a superb net score of 67. Shot of the day was by Brechin Professional Stephen Rennie, he holed a 9 iron at the 148 yard 9th hole, the ball flew straight into the hole not even touching the edge of the hole.
