SCOT AND GERMAN COMBINE TO WIN SPANISH
SENIOR AMATEUR DOUBLES CHAMPIONSHIP

Ian Brotherston from Dumfries and his German playing partner, Kai Flibnt won the Spanish senior amateur international doubles golf championship at La Manga Resort today (Thursday).
Starting the second and final round five shots off the pace, Brotherston and Flint added a 73 to her opening 75 and their aggregate of 148 was good to pip England's overnight leaders Douglas Cameron and John Ambridge who slumped from a 70 to a 79 for 149.
