JACK'S THE LAD - THIRD TIME WINNER THIS SEASON
AND HE TAKES THE SGU ORDER OF MERIT TITLE

Jack McDonald (Kilmarnock Barassie) carried over the form that won him the North of Scotland Open the previous weekend, to win the South East District Open at West Linton today (Sunday) - and clinch the SGU Order of Merit title after the final counting event.
It was McDonald's third 72-hole win of the season. He had earlier won the Tennant Cup.
McDonald posted rounds of 71, 68, 70 and 71 for a total of four-over 280 over the par-69 lay-out.

His only serious rival for the Order of Merit crown, James White (Lundin) finished seventh on 286.
McDonald won by a shot from halfway leader Adam Dunton (McDonald Ellon) who had scores of 67, 69, 73 and 72.
There was a tie for third place on 282 between Matthew Clark (Kilmarcolm) and third-round leader Craig Ross (Kirkhill).
