The East Alliance commenced at a well manicured Liberton Golf Club whem 85 players headed down the first fairway.
The trophy played for was The Ramsay Trophy and it went to the back 9 to find the winner. Alan Young (Lochend) and Mick Carrigan (Greenburn) both had net 63's but Alan's fantastic back 9 of 31 won the day by 5.5 shots. Well done Alan and great effort Mick. Third place went to Willie Miller (Falkirk Tryst) on net 65

The top scratch prize was heading for Ross Neill (Drumpelier) for most of the day but towards the end of play trainee pro and new member Ross Munro (Duddingston) who honed his skills at Liberton as a junior secured top spot with a 66 ahead of Ross's 68. Third place was shared by Andrew Erskine (Ratho Park), Louis Gaughan (Bathgate) & Neil Henderson (Renaissance Club) all on 69.
In the Seniors ranks Stuart Wardlaw (Harburn) secured top spot with net 67 (80 less 13).

Next week we head to Kings Acre when a new trophy will be competed for - The Andrew Oldcorn Trophy. Andrew has supported the East Alliance for more than 30 years and has kindly put up this trophy which we are delighted to add to our calendar.
