Thick fog at the Bridge of Don venue delayed the start of play by nearly two hours. It was decided to reduce the round to 15 holes by cutting out those out at the far end of the course, the eighth (par 3), the ninth (par 4) and the 10th (par 3).
That reduced the par for the holes to be played to a nice round figure of 60.
