MARTIN Laird has been handed an unexpected chance to get his first Ryder Cup points on the board in this week’s World Cup of Golf in Australia.
The three-times PGA Tour winner had thought he would have to wait until 1 January to take up membership of the European Tour and, therefore, be eligible for next year’s match at Gleneagles.
